Industries Slurry & Mining

Slurry & Mining Valves

Valves for slurry and mining service must stand up to abrasive solids, corrosive process liquors and heavy scaling, including:

  • Tailings and ore slurry
  • Flotation and thickener underflow
  • Sulfuric acid leach solutions
  • Lime and reagent lines
  • Process water and mine dewatering

The right slurry valve reduces wear, prevents plugging and keeps your circuit running. We help you pick the right one for each line.

Recommended Valves for Slurry & Mining

We work with ITT Engineered Valves to supply valves built for abrasive and corrosive service:

  • Knife gate valves: ITT Fabri-Valve PTA, a heavy-duty push-through slurry valve for tailings, ore slurry and thickener underflow
  • Diaphragm valves: ITT Dia-Flo Full Flow, a rubber-lined straightway valve with an unobstructed flow path for abrasive slurry and acid leach
  • Plug valves: ITT Cam-Tite and Cam-Line, for scaling and lined acid service
ITT Fabri-Valve 33 PTA slurry knife gate valve

ITT Fabri-Valve PTA

The 33 PTA is built for the harshest slurry service. The gate fully withdraws from the flow, so the full port has no cavities for solids to collect and no metal touching the media. Heavy-duty elastomer sleeves are replaceable without taking the valve apart, and every valve is factory tested for bi-directional bubble-tight shut-off. Sizes 3" to 60".

ITT Dia-Flo Full Flow straightway diaphragm valve

ITT Dia-Flo Full Flow

The Dia-Flo straightway (full flow) diaphragm valve has a streamlined passage, so solids don't get trapped, and it can be rodded out in either direction. It comes with soft rubber, hard rubber, Neoprene or butyl linings for abrasive service, or ETFE and polypropylene linings for corrosive service. Rubber-lined sizes 1" to 12".
